A Message From the Desk of Bishop Benjamin Sutton

Greetings my Brothers and Sisters:
I greet you with the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray that you are well and safe. And I trust that you are all obeying the rules and are staying at home.

These are indeed trying times for us all, and especially for the Church. This is now our new normal. But we have a promise from God, " that upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. These Words are just as true, powerful, and prophetic today as they were on the day that He spoke them. Trust God! Trust Him to be our "Good Shepherd" and to see to it that we are lead into green pastures. Trust Him to watch over they who are His.

We are in covenant with Him, and since He is not a man that He should lie, Keep on Believing! We WILL get through this! There may be some difficult days ahead and it may get worse before it gets better. But The Church of Jesus Christ will survive! The Church has gone through difficult times before. And yet, because of their Faith in God through Jesus Christ, they held fast to the Word, knowing that weeping would endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning.

Yes, Saints of God and members of Cape Fear B Annual Conference, Keep on Believing! Hold on to the promise and Keep on Believing! Pastors, Preachers, Deacons. & Mothers, your local church needs to hear your voice as you affirm what the Bible says. We shall be triumphant for the battle is the Lord's. Pastors, stay connected to your congregation and let's all continue in faith prayer, and Agape love!

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

We believe that God is the Father Almighty, and that He is the Maker of Heaven and Earth as the scriptures have said. We believe in Jesus, that He is the Christ and is the only begotten Son of the Father. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead and declared victory over the grave, death, and hell. He has gone back to the Father to prepare a place for us in His kingdom. He will come back as He promised to judge the world and to deliver the righteous. We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Christian Church, the Communion of Saints, the Forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life for all true believers.   --Amen
